Hey all,
I’m at work again, blah, but I had an excellent weekend up in portland. Took Friday off so I could be at the dentist in the morning, came home, hung out with my dad a bit, Pressure Washed my grandparents house, made some cash. Got to replace the logicboard in my Pismo, IT WORKS!!! That was fun. $120 for a working laptop that is pretty nice. I rock.
Got together with another friend I hadn’t seen in a while… that was nice. He’s still working and not doing much else, but I hope he gets his ass in gear soon. His parents are getting divorced after 30 years or so. Shame in many ways, but if you knew them, you could probably have seen it coming. At least they made it to the point of their kids moving out. *sighs* I hope they end up seeing where they’re going and don’t act like typical divorcees and hate eachother or not talk. Just makes it difficult for the children.
Also got together with val and eric (hi there!), and that’s always fun. had some alcohol, played some mario party… proved to them that it is nearly impossible to hit a button 100 times in 10 seconds. sure, maybe for the first few seconds you can keep up that pace, but 10/second for that long is quite difficult. *sighs* perhaps I shall just have to practice more. Hell, even a turbo controller maxes out at 78 for 10 seconds. Guess you could pull the thing appart and replace a resistor or capacitor, al la TI-85 overclocking… but still…
I hate winmodems. there, just thought I’d say that.
I got the serial adapters like I mentioned in the previous post. Kilo and I are going to give them a whirl next time we go out wardriving. They both are supposedly supported under linux… so it should all work.
Short of that, I’m just sitting here on my ass not sure what to do. I have a bunch of stuff I should be doing, but like last time, no real way to do it since nothing seems to be working. *sighs* I’ll figure it out.
See some of you tomorrow, see others of you sometime else. I’m happy I just ate… and tonight I’m going to go to a driving range and take out my troubles on little defenseless balls. Ahhh… nothing quite like it.
Oh, btw… the pictures that got sent off to NY. We have only heard about one of them, it (along with 2 others) went to live auction (meaning more than 10bids during silent auction) and it sold for…. $445. The image that sold for that much is: Here. Bet she wishes she would have gone to Anime Expo now. Just think… we could be getting a check in the mail sometime soon for over $1000. And best of all, they don’t take any kind of cut. Ahhh… isn’t profit wonderful? 😉
